The exam cell’s three weeks, down to an afternoon.

The exam itself takes a day. Printing, couriers, hand marking and typing in totals add about three weeks. ExamPin takes those steps out.

What changes for each person on campus.

An exam touches the controller’s office, faculty, the lab and every student. Each of them gets less to do.

Controller of examinations

One console for every exam: who can open each paper, every mark change on record, and results released when you say so.

Faculty

Write papers in the browser or import a question bank from Excel. Grade descriptive answers beside the automatic score.

Lab and IT staff

Copy one exam file to each computer. Java is the only install, once, and there is no server to run.

Students

A locked, fair exam with a shuffled paper, and their own results online when you release them, signed in with Google.

Principals and deans

Exam costs you can put numbers on with the savings calculator, and a pilot with one batch before any campus-wide decision.

Every change on record

Marks changed, keys corrected, results released: who did it, when and why, for every exam.

Every exam on the academic calendar.

Colleges and universities use ExamPin for the exams they run every semester, and for the ones that come round once a year:

  • Semester exams, mid-terms and internal assessments
  • Entrance and scholarship tests
  • Placement aptitude tests and mock drives
  • Skill certificates

Most run best on computers, where the whole computer is locked and no internet is needed. For students who can’t reach the lab, the same exam can open in a browser or in the ExamPin Exam app, with one paper, one sealed key and one results page.

The answer key never travels with the paper. It is sealed in the cloud when the exam is built and used only when your exam cell marks, so a paper can’t leak with its answers.

What exam cells ask first.

More in the full FAQ, or ask us in your demo request.

Does it work with the computers we already have?

Yes. The exam runs on Windows, macOS or Linux computers, old or new, with Java installed once. There is no server to buy and no internet needed in the exam hall.

Can descriptive answers be marked?

Descriptive answers are collected with the rest of the paper, and faculty enter those marks beside the objective score. Multiple choice, true or false and passages are marked automatically.

Who in our institution can see a question paper?

Only the people its owner adds, to edit or only to view. Everyone else, admins included, can’t open it.

Can students see their results online?

Yes, when you release them. You choose whether students see their score, their answers, or both, and each student signs in with Google, using the email your institution listed, to see only their own.
